Steve and I are waiting for the builder to finish tweeking the plans. Hopefully, he will have them this week sometime or next. He is supposed to get someone to survey our lot to figure out exactly the position of the house with the septic tank and well. this is the part I really know very little about. Thank goodness Steve knows about that stuff.
I cannot wait until we begin cutting a drive into the lot. That will make everything seem like it is really going to happen. Of course, this may not come until the beginning of May. That sounds like a long time to me. I need to take a picture of the lot before we get started so that anyone who reads this will have a good idea about where we started with all this. It actually began about 27 years ago when we lived on Hollingshed Road in a rental house in Dutch Village. We did not have enough money then to make a down payment on a house but we coudl buy property. We rode in this area alot and loved it. There were not many people around there at the time and it was beautiful. We loved the woods and the quietness of the area. Now, the whole area has changed. There is an elementary school at the end of Hollingshed Road and houses galore. Our street, Timber Knoll Drive, only has 7 houses because the lots are all at least 2 acres. Thank goodness! Maybe next time I will a picture of our lot.
