Blocks are Progress

Blocks are progress, I guess.  Steve and I rode up there tonight after we dropped Jonah off to see what had been done.  Really, nothing except delivering blocks and sand.  There may be stuff going on tomorrow, but I have to work at the prison tomorrow evening, so I will miss it.  Oh well, it won't be going anywhere, hopefully!  I did have a second meeting this morning with the person who has our plumbing order.  We wanted to bring the cost down closer to the budgeted amount. it is amazing how much changing the color will help lower the cost. "Our tastes are bigger than our pocketbook", so to speak.  I switched out the kitchen sink, the faucet, and a couple of other faucets. Just doing that, brought it down a good bit.  We are waiting to hear from the kitchen cabinet carpenter with the design  in our bathroom.

The blocks will be placed on the rebar pieces and concrete poured in the holes.  It is like making a solid concrete wall.  This will be the foundation for the garage and the front porch.  It is crazy seeing everything take shape like we are seeing.  This will probably get done tomorrow.  Maybe???
